Wedding

It has been a long time since I've updated our blog. Clayton and I got married on May 6th, 2010. We were really busy with school, work and planning a wedding. I am so lucky to have a wonderful mom and sisters to help me with all the planning.

We've been planning an outdoor wedding all along, but since the weather has been kind of crazy this year we had to switch to indoors the day of the wedding. I was so upset and worried that all of the decorations we had plan for outdoors wouldn't work for our receiption indoors. I started to cry (I'm a total baby) because it wasn't what I was planning all along and my sisters kept telling me to stop crying because my eyes were getting puffy. I finally pulled myself together and started to get ready for the day. The wedding turned out great and everything worked out!

Both families together. I was so excited that I had family from Brazil come for the wedding. It was great!

Clayton and I took some dance lessons for our first dance. We practice dancing, but never with my wedding dress on. During our dance, I had to step backwards, but I kept tripping over my dress.

Memorial Weekend

We had a pretty busy memorial weekend.  We went hiking up North Canyon, we went to a driving range to hit a bucket of balls  (I could probably throw the balls farther than I could hit them!) and we saw Terminator and Star Trek.  We're going to have to take it easy for the next few weekends! :) 

Costa Rica

Clayton and I went to Costa Rica again a couple of weeks ago.  It was nice to just get away and relax.  The weather was perfect.

We drove by this bridge where there were a few crocodiles below.  It was scary just looking at them! 
We went on a buggie ride on the beach and up in the mountains while we where there.
It was really pretty.  I felt like we were on the island off LOST!

It's about time for an update!

To celebrate our 4 year anniversary, Clayton and I went to the Melting Pot.  We love that place, the desert is the best part of the whole meal !

I can't leave Clayton alone cause he will go out and buy a SNUGGIE! He actually likes it and wears it around the house..... I just can't believe that he bought one!!!

Last but not least, my brother and his wife had a baby a week ago.  It's so exciting to have a new nephew (Ethan), I know he's my nephew.... but he's so cute!!

Clayton's Birthday

Last week was Clayton's birthday and he just wanted to take it slow after all the rush from the holidays.  So we just went to Flemings for dinner and to make his birthday better ... we sat next to Carlos Boozer from the Jazz!  

We also went out to dinner with his family to celebrate his and Jeff's birthdays.  

Of course, we had to go to Chuck-a-rama for one of his birthday dinners.  Clayon loves that place and we made a deal that we have to go there for his birthday every year. 

The Holidays

Clayton and I try to split our time during the holidays between our families.  We usually spend Christmas eve with my family and Christmas day with his.  This is us at my brother's house for Christmas eve this year.

We spent New Year's day at my sister's house.  As a tradition in my family, we always have japanese food.  It's always a lot of work to make it all but it's always worth it when it's time to eat!

Jenny and Jon just got the cutest chocolate lab puppy. We just wanted to take it home with us!

Just another day in the life of Clayton and Sarah!

Yesterday I asked Clayton if he wanted to drive around the mountains to take some pictures for our Christmas card. Clayton said that Bountiful has some really nice places to take pictures and since we were going to dinner at his parent's house up there, it would just be on the way. We got to Bountiful and I wasn't sure why Clayton was just driving around some neighborhoods there and I said "Clayton, are you planning on taking pictures in front of a stranger's house? Cause I was thinking more of taking pictures somewhere you can't see houses next door!" and Clayton started laughing because he said that he didn't know what I meant when I said mountains and he thought that this would work! hahaha The pictures turned out okay, but I guess I should be more specific next time!

On December 4th, marked 12 years since my family and I moved here from Brazil. I can't believe it's been so long! So I called my sisters and my mom to see if they wanted to go out to "celebrate" and it was an excuse to go to out for ice cream! I wish I had found a picture of us when we moved here.

Thanksgiving

We had a really nice really holiday. We were in charge of bringing and appetizer and the stuffing for the family dinner and since this year was the first year that my family assigned me something to bring that needed to be made instead of bought at the store ... I couldn't mess this up! We did pretty well and everyone loved Clayton's stuffing!

Disapointed

Yesterday was the BYU vs. Utah game and Clayton was very excited. The first half of the game was not bad, BYU was not too far behind. As the game went on his mood started to change and it just went downhill. When the game ended and after we let it all sink in, he started to pack (he has to go out of town for work) and he said "I'm so sad that I can't even think straight!" :)
The best thing to do at this point is just to let him vent and give him a day to get passed it and then he'll start to think about next year!

Camilla's birthday

It was Camilla's (my sister) birthday last friday and she was having a get together in Park City. It was really fun once we were able to find the bar we were supposed to meet her at!! But going to a club when your boyfriend doesn't like to dance means that you don't dance either (or else you're the crazy person dancing alone). Left-right: Erika, Camilla, Me and Jenny

Busy Weekend!!

Clayton and I had a pretty busy weekend.  On Saturday we had a birthday party, a wedding ceremony, someone else's reception and then we went back to the other friend's reception.  Even though it was really busy, we had a lot of fun.  This is a picture of us with our friends, Jessika and Stephen at their wedding reception.

When it was time to throw the garter, Stephen threw it straight to Clayton! This is the second one he catches within a month.... I think we get the hint!!! :)

Halloween

Clayton and I went to my sister's house on friday night for halloween. I didn't get Clayton to dress up but at least he was a good sport and wore his nacho libre mask.
My nephew, Daniel, also got dressed up and he looked so cute!

Old News!!

Ashley and I went to Vegas back in August and we ended up going to old Vegas.... once we got there we understood why it's "OLD" Vegas! The dome show that we waited around to watch was just as exciting as the place!! In this picture, we are pretending to be amazed by the show! haha

This is what the Vegas girls look like in Old Vegas! Whoever said glasses and green eyeshadow isn't sexy.... was RIGHT!

Jeff & Natalie's Wedding

Last weekend was Jeff's (Clayton's brother) wedding at Heritage Gardens. Even though it was a long day we had a lot of fun and everything turned out great.

This was the first time I got to see Clayton in a tux in all 3 years we've been dating and I think he cleans up nice!

When it was time to throw the garter, everyone insisted that Clayton would go try to catch it. Instead of Jeff throwing it up in the air, he just walked straight to Clayton and handed it to him! It was very funny! We get the hint!! :)

To help Clayton fulfill his duty as best man, we decorated Jeff's car. We stuck 2 whole bags of oreo cookies and used window paint to decorate the windows.

Jeff said that he will get back at us when it's our turn... now we know that we will need to hide our car!

Donut Falls Hike

It was really pretty once you got to the waterfall. The hardest part was trying to get accross without getting wet! Clayton was the only one dry by the time we got back! (Clayton, Sarah, Jessika and Stephen L-R)

I decided to give hiking another try since the first time I went I couldn't even make it to the trail! Donut Falls was much easier and we made it all the way!!
